This resident and suspected occasional immigrant occurs singly, sometimes sparingly, and occasionally fairly commonly at mv light in a wide range of habitats. It is well distributed but very local in any numbers. Normally single-brooded, flying mainly from the second week of May to mid July. Partial second emergences have been recorded in the county. The larvae feed on lime and elm. (Pratt, 2011)
