A resident species usually occurring singly at mv light amongst mature oak woodland in the far east and far west of the county, and occasionally fairly common at Beckley and Emsworth. Increasing. Single-brooded, flying mainly from late June to late July. Larvae feed on small-leaved lime and sweet chestnut. (Pratt, 2011)
