First discovered in both vice-counties in 1997. Found at Pagham Harbour feeding on sea-beet on April 14th, 1997. Found there again on August 22nd 2001 and also there on May 31st, and September, 2002. Also found at Walberton on 25th July, 2003. The opening East Sussex record was from Camber Sands in 1997. Also found at Rye Harbour in 1998, East Hill, Hastings in 2006 and Castle Hill. Newhaven on October 1st 2009 (Pratt, 2011).
