A resident species in danger of extinction in the West and presumed extinct in the East. The only recent records have come from Ferring (2011) and Warnham (2008). Single-brooded, flying elsewhere mainly from September to May. Larvae feed on ash, (wild) privet and oval-leaved garden privet. (Pratt, 2011)
