A resident species normally occurring singly at mv light in a wide range of habitats, although it is occasionally seen sparingly in deciduous woods in both vice-counties. Widespread, but probably seriously under recorded. Single-brooded, flying mainly from mid April to mid June. Larvae feed on fallen deciduous leaves, including hawthorn and bramble.(Pratt, 2011)
