Local

A resident species. Larvae usually occur sparingly in a few deciduous woods in both vice-counties, but perhaps seriously under recorded. Single brooded, flying mainly during May and June in Sussex, although a second brood in August occurs elsewhere. Larvae feed on birch. (Pratt, 2011)
