Resident. Usually occurs singly or sparingly, although it is sometimes fairly common to common in a wide range of habitats. Probably generally distributed. Triple-brooded flying mainly from late June to early September in overlapping flights, and again from late September to late November; after intermittent hibernation the autumn generation reappears the following spring, chiefly between early April and early May. Adults have been seen during every week of the year except in late January and early February. Larvae feed on bindweed and on races of the related "Morning Glory". (Pratt, 2011)
