Resident. The moth usually appears singly, sometimes sparingly at mv light, chiefly in a few coastal and heathland habitats in both vice-counties. Widespread. Generally double-brooded, flying mainly from late May to late June, and more numerously from the third week of July to early September. Larvae feed along the stems, among the seeds, and at the rootstock of sheep's sorrel. (Pratt, 2011)
