Local

Resident. Both larvae and adults occur singly or sparingly, latterly at mv light, in surprisingly few domestic gardens in the south of both vice-counties, although they are sometimes common at Pagham. Double-brooded in overlapping flights, which appear chiefly from early July to late October, the autumnal emergence intermittently hibernating and flying properly during the spring. Larvae feed on the leaves of apple and hawthorn. (Pratt, 2011).
