Common

A resident species, with adults occurring singly at mv light in a few places in both vice-counties, although larvae are sometimes noticeably more numerous. Double-brooded, flying mainly throughout July and again in October, the latter flight hibernating and re-emerging in March and April. Larvae feed on moon carrot, cow parsnip and hogweed. (Pratt, 2011)
