A rare, very local resident only found on the vegetated shingle beach at Rye. It is presumed extinct in West Sussex and in danger of extinction in East Sussex. It is double-brooded, flying mainly from the second week of June to late July, and again from late August to mid September. The larvae feed on white horehound. (Pratt, 2011).
