Common

A very local resident that usually occurs singly, sometimes sparingly, especially on the Downs. It is widespread on the chalk, but less so elsewhere. It is single-brooded, flying mainly from the third week of June to early August, occasionally from the second week of June or to the third week of August. The larvae feed on tansy. (Pratt, 2011).
