Common

A resident species. Both adults and larvae occur singly or sparingly in a few rural habitats inland in both vice-counties. Single brooded, flying mainly during May, although this has yet to be confirmed in Sussex. Larvae feed on the leaves of crab-apple and domestic apple. (Pratt, 2011)
