Common

Resident. Often fairly common in deciduous woods in West Sussex, but scarce in the east, and perhaps seriously under-recorded in both vice counties. Double-brooded, flying mainly May and June and again in August although this has yet to be confirmed in Sussex. Larvae feed on oak. (Pratt, 2011)
