An extremely local, distinctly episodic, scarce resident of West Sussex, in danger of extinction in East Sussex. It is always confined to the extreme south-western and far eastern corners of the county. It is double-brooded, flying mainly from late May to late June and from late July to the third week of August. The larvae are associated with sea lavender. (Pratt, 2011).
