A resident species, usually occurring singly in a few places on the Downs in both vice-counties, but often locally common by day ay Heyshott. Single-brooded, flying mainly from late June to early August. Larvae feed on common bird's-foot trefoil and are also associated with Thymus spp.. (Pratt, 2011).
