A resident species, it is danger of extinction in East Sussex and only recently found at Hurst Green; presumed extinct in West Sussex since the moth was last listed in 1905. Perhaps seriously under recorded in both vice-counties. Double brooded, flying mainly during May and August. Larvae feed on agrimony, silverweed, tormentil and strawberry. (Pratt, 2011)
