A resident species which is probably seriously under recorded. Larvae occur sparingly or fairly commonly in a few deciduous woods in both vice-counties. Single brooded, flying mainly in May. Larvae feed on water avens, dewberry, raspberry, and bramble. (Pratt, 2011)
