A Nationally Notable Class B moth first reported in the country in 1860. The only sign of a strong western colony reported at Walberton where adults have been annually common at mv light from the 1990's. A single specimen reported at Bracklesham July 2010. First noticed in East Sussex in 1905 at Arlington, and also detected same year at Hastings. Only later reports in East Sussex at Ninfield in 1983 and 1984. Adults in Walberton colony fly mainly from early June to early August, occasionally from late May or to the third week of August. (Pratt, 2011).
