In the west only known from Worthing in the 19th century and from a colony in the Haslemere district in the early 20th century. In East Sussex noted at Guestling in the 19th century and Abbot's Wood in the early 20th century. In Abbot's Wood adults flew during May and June. Larvae feed on oak. (Pratt, 2011)
