The only accepted early records relate to several specimens caught at Shoreham in the early 20th century. There is only one modern record, which is from Winchelsea Beach on 18th August, 1997. In other counties the species is single-brooded, flying during July, and larvae feed on perennial seablite (Pratt, 2011).
