Common

A resident species, whose larvae are often fairly common to common in shrubby places, with adults generally far fewer at mv light. Well-distributed in the West, less so in the East. Triple-brooded, flying mainly from early April to late May, from late July to late August and from mid-September to early October. Larvae feed on hawthorn. (Pratt, 2011)
