A resident species occuring sparingly at mv light in a wide range of habitats; sometimes fairly common in woods in the west of the county but in serious danger of extinction in the east. This species is very local and in great decline. Single-brooded flying mainly from mid July to early September. Larvae feed on dock and aspen. (Pratt, 2011)
