Resident, occuring singly or sparingly at mv light in a wide range of habitats but can be fairly common to common on the downs and vegetated shingle beaches. Very local and in decline. Double-brooded flying mainly from late April to late June and again from mid July to late August. Larvae feed on the seed capsules of sea campion and bladder campion. (Pratt, 2011)
