A resident species, normally occurring sparingly or fairly commonly in a wide range of habitats, but sometimes common or very common in wild grassy places. Widespread and probably generally distributed but very local in numbers. Single-brooded, flying mainly from late August to Early October. Larvae feed on unspecified grasses. (Pratt, 2011)
