Resident. Usually occurs singly or sparingly at mv light in a range of habitats. Only currently found in the far south-western corner of the county. Single-brooded, flying mainly from the second week of October to third week of November, sometimes to mid December. Larvae have yet to be searched out in Sussex, but feed on evergreen oak in Hampshire chiefly amongst significant areas of foodplant. (Pratt, 2011)
