A suspected immigrant and episodic species. Scarce as an immigrant in both vice-counties with less than a dozen singleton records since 1990; presumed extinct in the east of the county since 1932. A single brooded species flying from late October to late November when resident; occasionally from late September to early December when migrating. The larvae have never been found in the wild in this county, but they are believed to feed on a wide range of deciduous trees. (Pratt, 2011)
