A resident species that usually occurs sparingly or fairly commonly at mv light in a wide range of habitats and is occasionally common among deciduous woodland with widespread distribution across the county. Single brooded, flying from late September to early December. The larvae feed on Sallow and willow (including grey willow). (Pratt, 2011)
