Resident, Normally occurs sparingly or fairly commonly at mv light in a wide range of grassy habitats but it is sometimes locally common along parts of the coast. Widespread, but less numerous in the north. Single-brooded, flying mainly from late June to early September, occasionally from the second week of June or to the third week of September. Larvae feed on unidentified grasses. (Pratt, 2011)
