An immigrant species occurring singly, mainly in the east with the far east the most favoured. Rare along the coast in the west. In the new millennium it has occurred almost annually. Arrives in a single flight, mainly from mid-June to late July. Larvae believed to feed on Atriplex and Chenopodium spp. (Pratt, 2011)
