Resident. Often fairly common and sometimes common at mv light in a wide range of habitats, especially in inland woods. Probably generally distributed. Single-brooded, flying most numerously from late February to mid May, although adults have been seen in every week from late January to mid June. Freshly emerged adults have also been noted on 6 January in 1912 and on 27 November in 2004. Larvae feed on honeysuckle. (Pratt, 2011)
