A resident species usually occurring sparingly but occasionally commonly at mv light in a wide range of habitats including woods, gardens and waste places. Well distributed away from a large part of the south-east. Single-brooded flying mainly from late May to early August. Larvae feed on white deadnettle, honeysuckle and many unidentified "low growing plants". (Pratt, 2011)
