A resident species generally occurring singly or sparingly but sometimes commonly at mv light. Well distributed but missing from the north-west. Very local and episodic in any numbers and in decline. Usually single-brooded flying mainly from the third week of June to late July. Larvae feed on tufted vetch. (Pratt, 2011)
