A suspected immigrant and colonist, or import with exotic conifers. Usually occurs singly at mv light in a few places in West Sussex; never detected in East Sussex. Single-brooded, flying mainly from early May to early July. Larvae feed on juniper, cedar, and cypresses abroad, including Cupressus x leylandii, but this has yet to be confirmed in Sussex. (Pratt, 2011).
