Presumed extinct in East Sussex since 1949 and in West Sussex since 1992. Adults were often rare, while larvae were occasionally common; always extremely local and very irregular appearance. Single-brooded, flying mainly from late May to late June, occasionally from mid May or to early July. Larvae feed on plantain. (Pratt, 2011)
