Resident and suspected immigrant species in serious danger of extinction across the region last recorded in 1987 in the east and 1997 in the west. Extremely local and distinctly episodic in appearance on heathland. Single-brooded flying from late May to mid-July. Larvae feed on heather and heath. (Pratt, 2011)
