Proposed RDB Class 3 species, resident and suspected immigrant. In the West usually occurs singly in domestic gardens, occasionally sparingly at mv light, although overall it is scarce away from the Walberton area. In danger of extinction in the East where it has gone undetected since 1979. Double-brooded, flying from early June to early July and again more numerously from late August to mid-October. Larvae feed on the seed heads of leek and onion. (Pratt, 2011)
