Resident and suspected immigrant. In danger of extinction in both vice-counties. Occurs singly or sparingly but is occasionally common in conifer plantations. Extremely local and irregular in appearance. Single brooded, flying from late June to mid August. Larvae feed on Norway spruce elswhere (Pratt, 2011).
