A resident species, widespread, occurring singly or sparingly at mv light in a few places in both vice-counties. Triple-brooded, flying mainly from mid-May to mid-June, most numerously from late July to mid-August, and again during September and October. Larvae feed on dame's-violet. (Pratt, 2011)
