A resident species, generally occurring singly or sparingly but sometimes fairly common at mv light on the Downs and in bushy places. Widespread but patchy in the east and very local and irregular in any numbers throughout. Double-brooded, flaying from mid-May to mid-July and again from mid-August to mid-September. Larvae feed on hedge bedstraw, ladylady's bedstraw and goosefoot. (Pratt, 2011)
