A resident that is probably generally distributed in large areas and is increasing. It usually occurs singly or sparingly at mv light, although it is occasionally fairly common in a wide range of habitats. It is single-brooded, flying mainly from mid July to late August, occasionally from early July or to the third week of September. The larvae feed on honeysuckle. (Pratt, 2011).
