A resident, but currently in danger of extinction. The moth usually occurs singly or sparingly in both vice-counties but it is occsionally fairly common to common at mv light in West Sussex. Extremelly local, distinctly episodic in both numbers and appearance, and restricted to heathland near Midhurst, Storrington and Ashdown Forest. Single-brooded, flying mainly from late June to late July, occasionally from mid June. Larvae feed on Dandelion and Knotgrass in other counties. (Pratt, 2011)
