Common
A resident species often fairly common to common around ponds, lakes and dykes. Well distributed in the far east but only thinly so elsewhere. Single-brooded, flying mainly from late May to the third week of September, sometimes to late September. Larvae feed on American weed (Canadian waterweed) and frog-bit. (Pratt, 2011).
