Common

A resident species often fairly common to common, especially amongst sand-dunes and on vegetated shingle beaches. Increasing in distribution. Generally double-brooded in overlapping flights which appear mainly from early May to early August and from late August to mid November. However, adults have been seen in every week of the year except the two middle weeks of January. Larvae feed on unspecified "wall-mosses". (Pratt, 2011).
