Common

Resident. Occurs sparingly at light in a wide range of habitats, but is sometimes fairly common amongst deciduous woodland. Widespread, but local in numbers. Single-brooded, flying mainly from the second week of June to late August. Larvae feed on oak. (Pratt, 2011).
