Resident. Adults generally occur singly or sparingly at mv light,although they are sometimes fairly common amongst sand-dunes, vegetated shingle beaches, and on chalk downland; larvae can be very common. Very local. Single-brooded, flying mainly from the second week of June to late August. Larvae feed on gorse. (Pratt, 2011).
