A resident species in danger of extinction in both vice-counties, and undetected in East Sussex since 1980. In decline and perhaps under-recorded. Single-brooded, flying mainly during June and July, although this has yet to be confirmed in Sussex. In other counties larvae feed on sorrel. (Pratt, 2011)
