Apotomis corticana sensu auctt. nec (Hübner, )
A resident, widespread species that usually occurs singly or sparingly at mv light. It is however sometimes fairly common in our foremost deciduous woods across the county. It is single-brooded, flying mainly from the second week of June to the third week of July, sometimes from late May to late August. The larvae feed on birch although this need confirmation in Sussex. (Pratt, 2011).
