Common

A resident species that usually occurs singly or sparingly at mv light but is sometimes fairly common across the county. It is well distributed and is thought to be increasing. It is double-brooded, flying mainly from mid April to late June and again from mid July to late September. The larvae feed inside the blossoms and stems of ragwort. (Pratt, 2011).
