Local
A resident species that normally occurs singly or sparingly in a very few places across the county. It is sometimes fairly common to common both by day and at mv light. It is episodic in appearance in many localities. Single-brooded, flying mainly from early July to mid August, occasionally from mid June. The larvae feed on seed-heads of wild teasel. (Pratt, 2011).
